“The Best Weekend All Year”

This past weekend, the Pulse Equine team traveled up to Lexington, KY, for the Land Rover Kentucky Three Day Event. Eventing is considered the triathlon of the equine world, where horse and rider teams compete in three distinct equine disciplines: Dressage, Cross-Country and Show Jumping.

With an attendance of over 73 thousand, we were thrilled to be the first PEMF professional groups to be a corporate sponsor of one of the biggest weekends on the equine calendar. Known to fans as “The Best Weekend All Year,” the Kentucky Three-Day Event offers something for everyone: the highest-level of equestrian competitors, tailgating, music, shopping, and of course… Pulse PEMF!

Highlights from K3D

Some exciting things from the weekend included Oliver Townend making history as only the fourth rider to win the event in back-to-back years, repeating his victory on Cooley Master Class. Margie Engle and her horse Dicas competed in the FEI 3* Invitational Friday Night Qualifier and Saturday main event. She had two beautiful rounds against a tough field in an incredibly technical course. With four faults (one rail down) on each night, she was knocked out of contention but still had a great overall performance. Margie is a Pulse PEMF fanatic, also known to be one of the greatest show-jumpers of all time.

Michele Haman, one of our Pulse Certified Professionals, had a horse competing in the 3-day, working on him with both massage and PEMF: Sir Oberon (Obie), ridden by Ellen Doughty-Hume. They had a phenomenal, clear cross country round and only 1 rail down in show jumping which kept them out of the top 10. In their 6th consecutive year at this level of competition and at this event, they placed 14th out of 42. At age 17, Obie was the oldest horse in the field and came off of the three grueling days of competition fresh and feeling great, thanks to the power of PEMF!
